Abstract: This paper explores the dormancy of the seed of Magnolia denudata Desr.，its dormancy breaking process and the germination conditions．The seed dormancy will not be breaken．Until a postmaturation to be completed in the condition of a low temperature and moisture．Gibberellin addition can hasten the dormancy breaking process．A suitable germination temperature for the seed postmaturation is at anywhere between 20—30℃．The seed of Magnolia denudata is insensitive to the light exposure．
