Abstract: Eight methods and seven indices of aggregation were reviewed and compared with their applications in the study of the distribution Patterns of the larvae of Anomala suleipenis Polol in forest．Ail indices indicate that distribution of the larvae were of an aggregated pattern，and the distribution can be represented by Neyman’s．The results of five sampling methods show that the method of parailed lines is the best．
