Abstract:
With orthogonal design, researches on the technology and prescription of surface coating of granular activated carbon, and measurement of its performance parameteners were carried out. Based on the studies, a best prescription was selected, the optimum is as follows: coating agent: 19, water: 70, stabilizing agent: 7, adhesive agent: 12. The surface coating carbon produced according to the presc.pdon is more functional, which enjoys many advantages: smoothness on their surface, wearability, no blackening hand and nice looking and absorptive poweer. If the Iodine value of raw activated carbon is 680.6mg/g and the rate of benzene absorption is 17.7%, the performances parameters of the products are Iodine value: 652.3mg/g, the rate of benzene absorption is 17.9%, deducting rate: 98.8%. If the Iodine value of raw activated carbon is 1020.3mg/g and the rate of benzene absorption is 32.2%, the performances parameters of the products are lodine value: 981.1 mg/g, the rate of benzene absorption is 30.8%, deducing rate: 98.56% This technology is easy to control and not complicated, furthermore, thc absorption ability of carbon won't be affected, so this study will expanded the use range of activated carbon.
