Abstract: This paper reveals some differences existing in the wood ultrastructures of Pinus koraiensis Sieb.et Zucc.and Larix gmelini (Rupr.) Litvin.The peculiar structure of the tori of tracheids maybe one of the obstacles hindering the impregnation of fluid and drying wood of Larix gmelini (Rupr.) Litvin.
