Abstract: Chrysomyxa was establied by Unger in 1840 and 20 species have been described. Chrysomyxa himalense was described by Berkeley in 1890, Ch. succinea was described by Tranzchel in 1939, and Ch. stilbae was described by Wang and Chen et Guo in 1980.I found that the principle Characteritics of the above 3 fungi differed from Chrysomyxa in that rather than being flattened the telia are head-shaped and borne on synnmata. Therefore, the above fungi should be rejected as species of Chrysomyxa and re-established as species of Stilbechrysomyxa. In this paper Ⅰ propose a new genus, Stilbechrysomyxa, and combinations (S. succinea; S. himalense; S. stilbae). The distribution and evolution of Stilbechrysomyxa is also discussed.
