Abstract: Megastigmus sabinae Xu et He is the most injurious insect pest of the seeds of Sabina. It has one generation a year in Qinghai Province. The larva feeds on the embryo of seeds and overwinters as third instar larva. The peak of emergence of the adult is at last ten days of July. The temperature is an important factor directly influencing the growth and development of the pest. The insect den-sity are complete positive correlation with embryo numbers.
