Abstract: Augomonoctenus Smithi is a new insect pest seriously injuring the cone and seed of Cupressus funebris in Sichuan Province. In the present paper, the distribution, severity of damage, life cycle, habits, and methods of control of this pest have been recorded preliminarily. These will be very useful to further studies on the pest.
