Abstract: This paper describes the test results about the water resisance on the rafts passing through ship lock.It also provides the data which may be used for design and operation of the ship lock,and for the selection of favorable mean velocity for the rafts passing through the ship lock. The capacity of traction equipment,as well as the reasonable sectional dimensions and width allowance of the lock chamber are also discussed.
