Abstract: A multidimensional data model is built in order to solve the problems of forest resources inventory and planning data storage and usage. The model based on forest resources inventory and planning data is composed of twenty-one dimensions about spatial and attribute data. The multidimensional data model can be used in some directions: 1) Forest resources data can be processed through aggregation,drilling down,rolling up,pivot. 2) Forest mapping in different level can be made based on the dimension level structure. 3) The function of integrated analysis base on the multidimensional data model is developed.
