Abstract: The Web service was introduced in the development of the digital forestry supporting system. The management and application mechanism of Web services were discussed. The Web service registering,publishing,inquiring and using were implemented on digital forestry supporting system. And it was also realized that the various services of the supporting system could be published to UDDI (universal description,discovery and integration) register center,where the Web services could be inquired as well.
