Abstract: The average wood utilization percent from log to solid Products in Jilin Province was 10.5%～23.4%. In the view of internal connection and influence among log making, lumber manufacturing, drying and further processing, the causes of the wood waste were analysed; the accomplishment of the research concered wood waste and the succeeded experience of some plants were introduced; the measures for reducting the wood waste was advanced.
